The above photo’s were taken at the June 17th 2009 meeting of Elgin Lodge#12, 17 year old Patricia Galpin, a 2009 graduate from Elgin High School, received a much appreciated $1000 Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship Award.  Presenting this award is Noble Grand Jim Turner.  Patricia’s mother Lucy is also pictured in this photo.  Before the presentation both Patricia and her mom Lucy were treated to dinner and friendly Odd Fellow hospitality.  Patricia plans to attend UIC this fall with the goal of obtaining a math education and eventually having a career in teaching.
